overview returns can now be put into a review state the review state allows a return to be lodged but stops the return label from being sent to the customer this allows the lodgement to be reviewed and approved by the retailer prior to the customer being provided with next steps on how to return their order back to the retailer this setting is particularly useful for faulty returns where the return needs to be reviewed prior to it being deemed faulty once reviewed, you then have the option to waive the cost of the return shipping label used to send back the order or approve it straight away this helps to prevent customers from selecting faulty to get a free return label when the return isn't actually faulty how to set up the return review state is set up within flows follow the steps below to get started create a new flow and select the condition you'd like to have trigger the return review state for example, if you'd like a return to be put in a review state when an item is being returned for the reason of faulty, you might set the condition to be if return reason is equal to faulty in the outcome, select the mark return as in review for resolutions option select the resolutions you'd like to trigger an in review state from the dropdown this means that when this resolution is selected, the return will be put in review save the flow what is on the merchant portal when a return is put into an in review state, the return will appear on your dashboard an hourglass icon as well as the return status set to in review when processing the return, there will be quite a few different buttons and configurations approve review approve the lodgement and put the return in a processible state note this does not issue the resolution, it just allows the return to be lodged and for the customer to receive their label to send back their return (if applicable) once a return review is approved, the popup will shift to the standard processing popup decline review decline the review and the return the customer won't receive the next steps to send back their return send return label & next steps when this switch is turned on, once the return review is approved, the customer will be emailed their return label as well as the next steps to get their return back to the retailer in review page the in review next steps can be customised on a pre resolution basis on each resolution, the next steps fields will now include an in review option where the next steps can be customised for the customer, the in review page will look like the below the next steps will be determined on
