outline by default, refundid will exclude gift card orders from going through the platform this is because gift card orders are often non refundable in order for refundid to accurately exclude these orders, the gift card needs to be visible as an extension attribute in the order payload and the attribute name needs to be known to refundid if the default attribute name is not used, this is when it needs to be manually set by refundid where should the gift card attribute be? by default, refundid will look in the order payload at the extension attributes to see if a gift card was used to pay for the order if the gift card attribute is not visible here, refundid will not be able to identify the use of a gift card once the gift card is added as an extension attribute, it's important to ensure that the gift card variable name is one that refundid can identify the default variable name refundid looks for is giftcard amount if this is not the value used for your store, you'll need to have a custom gift card variable name applied to your store how to setup to get a custom gift card variable name set up for your store, reach out to your account manager or merchant\@refundid com if you know what your gift card variable name is, have it ready so it can be applied to your store straight away if not, our team will be able to grab it for you from your order payload
