overview this document explains when instant refunds are available to customers and outlines the common reasons why the instant refund option may not appear during the return flow instant refund availability is determined by a combination of customer eligibility, payment method, return conditions, and regional support when instant refunds are available a customer may be offered an instant refund when all of the following conditions are met the customer is located in a supported region (for example, australia or the united states) the customer is a valid customer with a complete and verifiable profile the customer has no risk flags or restrictions on their account the original order was not partially or fully paid using a gift card the return does not meet any retailer specific rules that exclude instant refunds the customer has a valid bank account or card that supports instant payments the customer has no adverse history recorded in the refundid system, including activity across other retailers using refundid when these conditions are met, instant refund will be presented as an available resolution during the return experience retailer specific rules retailers may define additional eligibility rules that affect instant refund availability, including product level exclusions return reason exclusions order value thresholds customer behaviour requirements if any retailer specific condition is met, instant refund will be removed from the available resolution options for that return
