outline the refundid email customisation feature provides full control over the look and feel of the standard return emails from colours to fonts, any level of customisation can be made to the email templates to ensure all communications stay as on brand as possible note instant return emails are currently unable to be customised they are standard across all retailers available templates within the refundid platform, we offer customisation to the below standard return emails return lodged the email received by the customer once they've successfully lodged their return return approved the email received by the customer when the return in it's entirety is approved by the retailer return rejected the email received by the customer when the return in it's entirety is declined by the retailer return cancelled the email received by the customer when the return in it's entirety is cancelled by the retailer cancellation means the return is able to be relodged return mixed close the email received by the customer when the return has multiple resolutions across the processed items for example, if the return contains two items and one of those items is approved and the other is declined, it would be considered a mixed close return cancellation inquiry the email received by the customer when the customer is reminded to send off their return and in failing to do so, their return may be cancelled return in review the email received by the customer when their return is put into an in review state once the review is approved, they'll then receive the return lodged email return delivered the email received upon the customers tracking number updating to delivered this will be based off of the tracking number attached to the return return parcel pickup the email received if a customer selects a pickup option for their return label return lodged & keep item the email received should the customers return satisfy a keep item flow a keep item flow allows the customer to receive their desired resolution and keep their item email components columns break up a part of the email into multiple horizontal sections this allows you to put content side by side and also assists with mobile optimisation of the email button add a button to the email and hyperlink it to send customers wherever you'd like to divider divide up multiple sections in your email to help with email layout and content splitting for your customers this is another way to help clean up your emails heading heading text for your emails most commonly used at the top text custom text that is often used in the form of a paragraph image add an image to the email social easily add social links to your email templates making it easy for customers to find you on different social media platforms menu add menu options to your email to make it easy for your customers to navigate to external pages outside of the email html add custom html into the email to fully customise parts or all of the email that is sent to customers variables the variables outline underneath the editor displays which fields can be passed into the emails this information is dynamic and will change based on who and what is being returned to add in a variable from the lodged return, please select the field that you would like to add in from the sample payload below and place it in plain text in the email with {{ }} around it for example, if you want to add the return address, enter it as {{ return address }} in the email test email to test out your email, input your email in the "send test email" field under the email editor and hit send this will trigger the email to be sent with the data in the sample payload provided please note that your email needs to be added to the notifications section of the portal in order to receive a test email the notifications section is found in settings > general at the top of the page click add, enter your email, and click save you do not need to have any notification checkboxes ticked to save your email address please note that when you send a test email, the variables in your email will be filled with sample data, not real data this will not reflect the data customers will see the test email is intended to help see what the email will look like visually if you'd like to test with real dynamic data, we recommend going through the returns experience as a customer the sample data that is used is in the example payload section of the page
