outline the negative order creation integration combines the refundid ap21 integration with one of our pre built ecommerce integrations, such as shopify, bigcommerce, or magento 2 this integration enables the seamless continuation of your existing ecommerce platform integration while adding automated rma creation in ap21 upon return approval in this setup, we will directly connect to your ecommerce environment (e g , shopify) to retrieve your order information, and ap21 will be utilized solely for negative order creation purposes this integration is different from the rma creation approach as, whilst the rma creation integration utilises the /return endpoint, this approach will take advantage of the /order endpoint and create an order with a negative quantity attached to the return sku advantages of this approach is that a custom payment type of refundid can be attached to this newly created order flow for a clearer comprehension of the workflows involved in the complete integration of refundid and ap21, please refer to the following flowchart it outlines the key touchpoint of the integration being processing the refund instant refund only (i e you're just using refundid for instant refunds) instant refund & standard returns (i e you're using refundid for instant refunds and standard returns) authentication & setup environment credentials in order to get set up, you'll need to provide refundid with some information to connect to your environment please reach out to integrations\@refundid com and provide them with the below pieces of information ap21 environment url please note the url required will need to be the api url address this will be different from your ap21 environment's core address you may also have different urls for your test and live environment countrycode (if applicable) username & password (if applicable) this may be in the form of a bearer token or some other form of authorisation please note the required username and password will be different from the one used to manually log into the ap21 client one of our integration specialists will set this up and provide you with further testing instructions refundid payment method you will need to create a new payment method in ap21 titled refundid which will be used whenever a refundid return is created within your ap21 environment setting the payment method as refundid for refundid created returns will help when it comes to reconciling what was lodged via your standard returns route and what went through refundid once the payment method has been set up, there will also be a merchant id attached to it, please ensure this is passed over as well to ensure it can be referenced correctly when the return is made please also ensure that the refundid payment method is added in as a creditcard when referencing what the origin of the payment method should be sku structure in order to correctly map your ecommerce platform's products to the items in ap21, we'll need to identify the structure of your skus in order to do this, please provide us with an outline of how your sku is structured and what product ids it is made up of ip address whitelisting you may need to whitelist refundid's sandbox ip address for testing and refundid's production ip address for launch if this is the case, please find them below sandbox 34 116 107 90 production 34 87 219 187 in the instance you'd like refundid to test for you after everything has been set up, a further ip address may need to be whitelisted as well
