overview this document outlines how instant refunds are enabled for retailers and the requirements that must be met before going live instant refunds allow eligible customers to receive their refund before returning their items, with refundid managing the upfront payout, risk and reconciliation process default availability instant refunds are enabled by default for retailers based in australia and the united states can be disabled at the retailer’s request if instant refunds are not currently visible and a retailer would like to enable them, this must be done manually enabling instant refunds to enable instant refunds, retailers must reach out to refundid merchant support or your account manager request that instant refunds be enabled on their account once enabled, instant refunds will begin appearing to eligible customers during the return experience bank account requirement before going live with instant refunds, retailers must set up a bank account with refundid this account is used for refundid to recoup approved refund amounts this is a mandatory requirement instant refunds cannot be activated without a valid bank account on file view the payment method section in your portal to set this up pricing considerations retailers should be aware that instant refund pricing differs from standard returns pricing should be reviewed and confirmed before enabling the feature if instant refund pricing has not yet been discussed, retailers are encouraged to raise this with their account manager or merchant support prior to activation
