outline setting your store's return time restricts how long a customer has to return an item to your store when setting your return time, you can do so from the order creation or fulfillment date in the instance you would like to increase the return time for a particular item, you can do so by reaching out to refundid steps open your merchant portal and navigate to settings visit the general tab look for return time and set the amount of time you'd like to give customers to return you can select whether the return time begins from order fulfillment or creation, and whether it applies to orders made from now or all orders click ' save ' what do the different drop down options mean? changing the return time for order fulfillment will initiate the return period once the order is marked as fulfilled in your ecommerce platform altering the return time from order creation will initiate the return period as soon as you generate the order on your end altering the return time from order delivery date will initiate the return period as soon as the order is delivered to the customer how time from delivery works for shopify retailers, refundid will attempt to get the delivery date directly from the order in shopify if this is not available (or if you're not on shopify), refundid will go directly to the carriers api to collect the delivery date in the instance neither are successful, refundid will use the fallback return window set up when initially configuring your return time
