cart button checkout addition outline there are two customer facing pieces to set up on your shopify store the cart button and the checkout addition cart button the checkout+ theme extension replaces your cart's checkout button with a checkout+ offer when the cart is eligible, customers see a primary button offering checkout+ (e g "checkout+ | {cart total including checkout+}") alongside a "continue without free returns" option clicking the primary button adds checkout+ to the cart and takes the customer to checkout when the cart isn't eligible, a standard "continue to checkout" button is shown instead to set it up, enable the checkout+ app embed in your shopify theme editor the embed includes settings for the button label template and cart behaviour the cart button requires some elements to be added to your theme so the buttons render in the right place refundid will work with you or your theme developer on this during setup checkout addition the checkout+ checkout extension shows a checkbox at checkout unlock free returns for avoid handling fees for eligible items when you make a return ticking it adds checkout+ to the order; unticking removes it the extension automatically hides itself when the cart isn't eligible add it through the shopify checkout editor the checkout addition requires checkout extensibility (shopify plus) checkout is also protected by a validation that stops ineligible checkout+ purchases going through for example if a sale item is added to the cart after checkout+ was added, the customer is asked to remove the returns cover before completing checkout
