overview the gift card expiry date setting allows retailers to define how long store credit remains valid when it is issued as a shopify gift card this gives you control over the lifespan of store credit issued through refundid if no expiry time is set on the store credit resolution, the gift card will use your store’s default shopify gift card expiry settings how it works when a store credit resolution is approved refundid creates a shopify gift card the expiry date is applied based on the resolution settings the customer receives a gift card that expires according to the configured timeframe if a custom expiry time is set on the resolution, it will override the store’s default gift card expiry setting set up go to settings and navigate to resolutions find the store credit resolution you want to update click edit on the resolution scroll down to set gift card expiry time enter the number of months you want the gift card to be valid for save your changes this setting only applies to store credit issued as shopify gift cards
